About Us
PROJECT EQUITY INTERNATIONAL began in 2006,
when a small group of Toronto students decided to make a lasting difference.
Since then, we have grown exponentially. We have chapters in several highschools,
universities, cities & towns, numbering thousands strong. We are a free
flowing network, and we rely on the energy, creativity and initiative of
our participants. We want you to contribute in the best way you can, to
make our goals reality.
Our goal is to use the energy of youth to solve old problems NOW, so the
world we inherit is free of them.
In particular, we are dedicated to Sustainable Development initiatives.
This means we are committed to a vision of the world that recognizes 1)
the need to ensure equal opportunity, and 2) the reality that, as humans,
our survival depends on Development in ways that reduces our negative effects
on the environment.
We have also been very vocal on the issue of human rights atrocities in
Darfur, Sudan. PE is an Executive Member of SaveDarfurCanada, and has been
a driving force behind 2 massive rallies in the past year. Below is just
